Peace and Quiet

Sean and Scott are away for a few days, visiting their grandparents in Florida, so I have the place all to myself (don't worry, I still have pants on). They'll get a few rounds of golf in although they have been warned about the alligators.

Chris is still in Kuwait until this coming Friday. Then he heads to the base in Iraq about 30 miles from Baghdad. Temperatures have been around 100, which is bad enough, but when he gets to Iraq he has to throw on 50 lbs. of armor and equipment. That heat is going to be brutal. They had a two day sandstorm this week. Not too surprising considering that all you can see is sand. And camels. He did sound good in talking with him, although he expects to be busy this next week so it may be sometime before I hear from him again.

Glad to hear you got a chance to talk to Chris before moving on to the next part of his mission. Those weather conditions sound brutal.

He'll be in my thoughts along with our other family & friends that are in Iraq.

And I will for yours too, Greg. And for all who are over there.
